“Snap, Crackle & Pop”
“Snap, Crackle & Pop” may very well be a part of an old cereal advertising campaign, one would say that as you listen to the sound that the cereal made they seem to say “Snap, Crackle & Pop”. The Lord gave it to me as way of sharing with you what trying to live for Christ is about.
“Snap, Crackle & Pop”
We as mankind were born in sin and shaped in wrong doing (iniquity) according to God’s word. If you really take the time to examine that thought you would discover that you without restraint automatically have a penchant for wrong doing.
“Snap, Crackle & Pop”
God has made us in his own image, yes but he used dirt to do it. What makes the difference between us and the dirt is the use of his Holy Spirit which he breathed into us. When we allow that part of him to “do what it do”, then we begin to experience the “Snap, Crackle & Pop” effect. Let’s look at each word separately.
“Snap, Crackle & Pop”
“Snap”; is the sound made when something stiff is broken. We spend most of our lives being hard hearted and stiff in our rejection to living for God through Christ. Because we are so ridged God has to break us down in order to show us why we need him.
“Snap, Crackle & Pop”
“Crackle”; is what you hear many times when something is on fire. Once we make the chose to surrender our lives to Christ, the Holy Ghost/Spirit stirs up the gift of God in us making us burn within for the work of the Lord. And we get the “can’t help it” syndrome.
“Snap, Crackle & Pop”
“Pop”; is the sound that you hear when something explodes? Many weapons that you are familiar with will make that sound from the gun powder exploding causing the bullets to shoot forward behind the force of its strength. Jesus Christ is the weapon, the Holy Spirit is the explosive force and you are God’s Bullet. I can hear “Snap, Crackle & Pop”, can you? Come back to Church and seek God’s face, I’ll see you at service Sunday.
