After accepting his call to the Gospel Ministry, The Reverend Michael A. Jones, I was ordained to preach the Gospel on June 21, 1992.

Pastor Jones, who served faithfully for 14 years under the leadership of the Reverend Grandee Duncan, Pastor of the New Zion Grove M.B. Church was called to Pastor the St. Titus One M.B. Church effective February 5, 1993, after the death of the late Reverend Harold Watts.

Reverend Jones, who has a special gift of teaching, has successfully shared this ministry with the St. Titus One M.B. Church family through its Sunday School, by establishing a mid-week and Saturday Bible Study, New Members Class, Spiritual Maturity Classes, Leadership Classes and also by providing educational seminars and retreats throughout the year to enhance the member’s knowledge of the word of God.

His ministry expands beyond the walls of this church as the church regularly participates in extensive Neighborhood Outreach and Adoption of the “It Takes A Village” Shelter. Under his leadership, St. Titus One also participated in the “Safe Haven” After School and Summer Program for Chicago Public Schools Students.

God has told Pastor Jones that he would reach thousands through his ministry and we thank God for his vision coming to fruition through our weekly radio broadcast and periodic television broadcasts. The St. Titus One Ministry broadcast themed “The Joy Zone” can be heard each Sunday at 6pm, on 102.3 FM and we broadcast on television many times throughout the year.

One of our Pastor’s greatest accomplishments is the acquisition of our church home at 12257 S. Emerald in Chicago, and our Church Parsonage. In addition, Pastor Jones is thankful to God for our most recent acquisition of St. Titus One Place, 741 W. 123rd St., our new apartment complex which houses 3 apartments, our barber shop and salon “the Crowning Glory Barber & Beauty Salon” and Cards, Gifts & Things, Inc., a Christian Specialty Store, which allows us to further the vision of St. Titus One M.B. Church.

St. Titus One M.B. Church is a member of the Salem Baptist District Association, Gamaliel of Metro Chicago, The African American Pastors Organizing Table, CAAAD, Community Child Development and Violence Prevention Program and a strong supporter of the Chicago Public Schools Safe Haven Program.  Pastor Jones is also a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Upsilon Sigma Chapter.

Reverend Jones has proven that he is determined, with the help of God, to continue to build the St. Titus One Church family…spiritually, numerically, and financially. And with God, All things are Possible.  For more information, visit our website at www.sttitusone.com
