 “The Enemy”
Too often we find ourselves caught up in one struggle or another personally. We look for hope and reach for help which on most occasions seems out of the possibility of our grasp.
“The Enemy”
The strange thing is that since the Church is made up of these same people, then you would have to conclude that it also finds itself caught up and entangled with issues after issue.
“The Enemy”
With a barrage of situations that seems unbearable, it is only fitting that we turn to the one source of all our help. That my friend is the Bible, the written Word of the God who made the world and us that live in it.
“The Enemy”
John 10:10 tells us that “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Think about it, our God desires that we be prosperous even as our souls are prosperous. So why are we caught up in financial or any other issues? Isaiah 59:19 reminds us that “… When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.”

Now this makes more sense, the problem is not people as much as seems to be ignorance. “The Enemy” of the Church is many things but mostly is it a closed Bible. It’s not enough to just come to Church (even though you struggle with that) one would actually have to open the Bible whether electronically or physically and read. As we continue to pray about our issues, let us also remember to open the Word for the answers to those prayers. Remember God is not slack in his promises.
